Hi, I'm Jordan Lee Dooley, and I founded the Own It Academy to provide business education to women who want to learn how to build a business from home to fund their health, families, and households (without having to go back to college and take on all that student loan debt). 

I first started my business because I knew was that I wanted a flexible career that would allow me to stay at home with my future family while still contributing financially. So, I started a small Etsy shop, which eventually led to blogging, publishing, podcasting, and more. 

When my family building journey got off to a rather bumpy start, I was reminded why I started a small business in the first place. As I recovered after my second loss in a row, it dawned on me: Over the last six years, I had done the thing I said I wanted to do. I had the flexibility to rest, recover, and take the time I needed thanks to the business I'd built. It ignited a fire in me and that day, I decided I would help women who desire to do the same thing.
